Weather you like it or not

There have been rumors on the news circuits that SF may see snow in the next coming days. That just seems ridiculous to me since every single weather report I've seen of the days upcoming temperature have lows that hover around 38 degrees, maybe 37 at the lowest. Last I checked, it needs to be 32 degrees Fahrenheit to snow. I have my suspicions that the workers at the Chronicle found some snowy SF pics in their archives and produced a fluffy article about the weather just so they could post those pics. But who knows, I guess anything is possible.

While I don't actually like being cold, I do love cold weather because it means I can bust out all my heavy coats from the closet. I love a good coat. My favorite ones are all from the thrift store. I would love more, but I can't really justify the purchases because A) no room, B) I have enough (or at least that's what I tell myself), and C) I haven't been thrifting for clothes in a long time. Why I remember when my outfits were all thrifted. Now it seems that all my clothes are from Banana Republic or BCBG. When did that shift occur? Maybe it's when I transitioned from poor college student to a less poor working woman.

And speaking of work, I find myself in the office more and more these days. It's nice to be social and out of the house, even if it is for work instead of shut inside the house all day. Tom even commented on my chipperness.

I also applied for a part time photo gig at a photography online store. I applied to this company once or twice in the past to no avail, but this time I got a call-back. Persistence pays off! Perhaps it was my cover letter that grabbed their attention — a top ten list why they should hire me. Or perhaps it was because I actually got my act together and put together a basic portfolio. I'm excited about this job prospect because it seems like it would be fun and creative. Plus I'd get to geek out (and learn more) about photography. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Be chipper...keep coming to work. And good luck with the photography job. Does this mean I would see less of you?

I don't think that the photography job would require too much time cutting into MH, so with any luck, you'll see just as much of me. Still, I really, really hope I get this gig. :)

Cheering for you snoopy-girl. This post makes me want to go home and visit my coats. I think I need to do a little stitch repair on one or two. Buttons are always popping off, hmm ... what do you think that means?
