Return to Sender

Tom has a non-specific email address, which is his first initial and last name. He tends to get a decent amount of email that is not intended for him, but maybe someone named Tabitha, Terry, or Tico. About things like reunions, Uncle Mark, hanging out. Most recently Tom received an email with the subject heading "Marker Proof." Huh? Yeah, so he reads the email and it's got an image attached:

Um, yeah. That's a headstone with my name on it. Yoshi, of course, thought the coincidence was cool. "Look! Her name is the same as yours! And you're both mothers! That could be you!" Thanks, Yoshi.

The woman was only in her 50's, which is relatively young so I googled her info to find an obituary because I'm morbidly curious like that. I expected to find out that she died of cancer or something. But it was much worse. Yikes!

So, on that note, and in gauche taste, I decided to blog about it. Because, like I said before, I'm morbid like that.
