Happy birthday and happy veteren's day to my dad!
He served in the US Army in the 1960's because he wanted to see the world. It took him to Oklahoma, which is like another world compared to the Bay Area. He hated it there, so he volunteered to a mission overseas to Korea where he stayed on some kind of cramped ship for months. He said that it was way better than Oklahoma (sorry to any OKers out there).
