We've been battling an ant problem for the past few months. They just won't go away. And this evening I found a lovely mass of them in Yoshi's room. She left some candy in one of her backpacks despite her claim that she does not have any food in her room. Gross.
And then more lice in Yoshi's hair, so I spent an hour nit picking. Double gross.
There is a lot of cleaning and laundry going on. Yet the house is still a mess.
14 more days of winter break to go. I'm already over it.

A beautiful SF day
It's December and over 70 degrees. And hip since I live in the Mission.
I'm not gonna complain. Tom had a zipcar rented, but ended up not needing it, so I took it, rolled down the windows and opened the sunroof and enjoyed the beautiful day. I drove myself to GG Park and checked out the renovated windmill, then on to the Sutro Baths.
A quick stop to China Beach to see the bridge, which I never tire of.
For lunch I grabbed a salad at the newish Whole Foods in the Haight, which was just weird with its "Wake and Bake" cafe counter and "Peace Out" sign by the cashiers. But, dude, it's still Whole Paycheck, not some hippie dippie corner market. I paid too much for the salad, but it satisfied me.
I'm going to spend the rest of today lounging about, maybe finish up my epic Murakami book that I put on the back burner. Or maybe knit that blanket that I want to finish in 7 days in time for the baby shower.
(And I'm quite addicted to Instagram now that I finally joined the ranks of fellow iPhoners. I love taking pics with that app. So fun!)
